Join the Hemp Alliance of Tennessee for the Middle Tennessee Hemp Fiber Forum at Tennessee State University's Agriculture Information Technology Center (AITC) (3018-3098 John A Merritt Blvd, Nashville, TN 37209) on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Speakers will include:

• Frederick Cawthon - President, Hemp Alliance of Tennessee;

• Denise Woods - Hemp Program Director, Tennessee Department of Agriculture;

• William Freeman - Business Consultant, Tennessee Department of Agriculture;

• Bill Corbin - Founder, Corbin Sciences;

• Corbet Miteff - Co-founder, Kanopi International Seed;

• and Dr. Emmanuel Omandi - Professor of Agriculture, Tennessee State University

Topics will include the status of the hemp fiber market and opportunities to expand the marketplace, the structure of Tennessee’s hemp program and supports available to producers, field trials and genetics, and the USDA grant received by TSU ($5 million Partnership for Climate Change Commodity Grant) and its implications for the Tennessee hemp industry and growers.
