HAT March In-Service: Spring Farming (Healthy Soil, Greenhouse Techniques, Mushrooms 101)

Join us Saturday May 14th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST at TSU's Farrell-Westbrook Building (The Barn, Room 118) for HAT's May Spring Farming In-service. Take advantage of our speakers' expertise and come prepared to learn. 

This is a paid event. The cost is $30 for each HAT member and $40 for each non-member. Register here. A Zoom link will be made available to individuals who cannot join us in-person.

The agenda for the in-service is as follows:

  • 10:00 - 11:00: Session One: Introduction to Korean Natural Farming and Healthy Soil with Kyle Perry, Founder of Native Soil Company

  • 11:00 - 12:00: Session Two: Role of Hemp in Reducing Tillage in Organic Cropping System with Dr. Emmanuel C. Omondi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at Tennessee State University

  • 12:00 - 1:00: Lunch (Not provided, BYO or grab something nearby)

  • 1:00 - 2:00: Session Three: Greenhouse Techniques and Light Depravation with Will Tarleton, Cofounder of Canvast Supply Co.

  • 2:00 - 3:00: Session Four: Mushrooms 101 with Hunter Dorton, Founder of HempinShrooms
